As a welcome performance, the Gair Dance brings high energy and a grand visual appeal—setting the perfect tone for any cultural celebration.

The Gair Dance is performed by group of men who form circles and swirl around each other. The group size can range from 10 to 20 dancers. The steps, along with the beats of traditional musical instruments like the dhol & thaali, create a rhythm that is a treat to the eyes of the audience. Dancers don long, ornate dresses with flared skirts that twirl gracefully, adorned with intricate golden ornamentation that catches the light, adding to the visual splendor. In their hands, they hold slender sticks known as khanda, which they rhythmically strike together, enhancing the dance's dynamic energy. In some variations, dancers also incorporate swords and arrows, reflecting the martial origins of the dance.
