Divine Strings is a unique, specially designed all-women musical concert featuring women sitarists and vocalists, designed by sitar teacher & mentor, Pt Chandra Mohan Bhatt and Produced by Dancing Peacock.
This concert features a group of 19+ talented women sitarists & vocalists along with renowned Tabla players. What's intriguing is that hardly any of the performing women are professional musicians; they come from diverse backgrounds - from teachers and medical practitioners to entrepreneurs, homemakers, and artists. The renditions include bhajans and Indian classical compositions.
The maiden concert of Divine Strings was curated by Dancing Peacock at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. Since then, the ensemble has performed at a range of diverse platforms — from the prestigious Momasar Utsav, a celebration of traditional arts, to an exclusive showcase at Le Meridien, New Delhi, for the launch of a high-end real estate project, TARC. Most recently, Divine Strings was featured at the Chief Minister’s Residence, Jaipur, as part of a cultural evening on the pre-eve of Rising Rajasthan 2024 for leading industrialists and investors attending this Summit.
Dancing Peacock has produced a unique musical concert, Divine Strings, an all-women sitar ensemble designed by the accomplished Sitar teacher from Jaipur, Pt. Shri Chandra Mohan Bhatt.
Pt. Bhatt runs the Rageshwari Sangeet Sansthan in Jaipur where he has tutored more than 400 pupils.
This concert features a group of 15+ talented women sitarists & vocalists along with renowned Tabla players. The renditions include bhajans and Indian classical compositions. The Divine Strings concert has a duration of 60 minutes.
The maiden concert was organised by Dancing Peacock at Rajasthan International Centre (Jaipur). Subsequently the troupe has performed at a number of occasions including on the one hand, at the world renowned Momasar Utsav and on the other at Le Meridien, New Delhi at the launch of a prestigious real estate project.
