Dancing Peacock<\/a> has produced a unique musical concert, Divine Strings<\/strong>, an all-women sitar ensemble. The first concert was organised by dancing Peacock for music lovers of Jaipur on 13 August 2023 at the Rajasthan International Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert featured a group of 19 talented women sitarists and vocalists<\/strong>. What\u2019s intriguing is that none of the performing women were professional musicians, they come from diverse backgrounds \u2013 from teachers and medical practitioners to entrepreneurs, homemakers, and artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renditions included bhajans and Indian classical compositions. The program was a blend of various rhythms and melodies, offering a rich and immersive experience for the listeners. Some of the notable compositions that resonated with the audience were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Accompanying the group of 19 women sitarists and vocalists, were two tabla players. Their rhythmic brilliance added depth and texture to the performances, creating a seamless fusion of melody and rhythm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The concert has been designed by the renowned Sitar teacher & mentor, Pt. Shri Chandra Mohan Bhatt. Pt Bhatt runs the Rageshwari Sangeet Sansthan in Jaipur where he has tutored more than 400 pupils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The concert witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities, including Smt Veenu Gupta, ACS Industries & Commerce and Mines & Petroleum; Shri Sandeep Verma, ACS, Science & Technology, Smt Shreya Guha, Principal Secretary, Cooperatives; Shri Amandeep Singh Kapoor, IPS; Padma Shri Gulabo Sapera, Padma Shri Ram Kishore Chipa Gerewala, and Padma Shri Shakir Ali. Renowned Kathak gurus Smt Prerana Shrimali and Dr. Shashi Sankhla also graced the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As the applause echoed through the hall and the last notes hung in the air, “Divine Strings”<\/strong> left an indelible mark on the cultural canvas of Jaipur, reminding us all of the timeless magic that can be woven through the strings of devotion, passion, and unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
