Dancing Peacock organised Music & Cultural Experience for G20 Sherpa Delegates at their farewell lunch at Ranakpur, Rajasthan<\/strong>

The first Sherpa Meeting of India\u2019s G20 Presidency was held from 4 to 7 December 2022, in Udaipur.

The Sherpas were greeted with lively welcome performance by a Bagpiper & Dhol band from Suratgarh in northern Rajasthan. Large Bams \/ Nagaras (drums) and Jhanjh (Cymbals) played from a beautifully decorated platform and Bahuroopiyas (traditional impressionists) played living statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati under a Peepal tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the day was a unique, power-packed concert THAAP<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Rhythm of the Desert specially designed by Praveen Arya and Vinod Joshi.

THAAP is a 30-minute ensemble of musically diverse classical & folk percussion instruments of Rajasthan accompanied by the Sindhi Sarangi and the Kamaycha, played by 20 leading musicians from 6 music communities from 4 distinct cultural regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
